Groom's Groove Article

PDF Version

Even though he may not know how to express it, he wants to be a handsome groom that stands next to the beautiful bride on his wedding day. Keep these tips in mind when dressing the groom and his attendants:

Darker colors have a slimming effect.Groom's Groove image

Coordinate ties, cummerbunds or suspenders colors with the same color as the bridesmaids' dresses.

Rented formalwear usually includes a jacket, vest or cummerbund, pants, suspenders, shirt, cufflinks, studs and neckwear.

Have your groom try patent leather shoes.

Consider setting the groom apart with a different boutonnière, neckwear and cummerbund color.

Reserve three months in advance. Have them try on their tuxedos and shoes a few days before so last minute adjustments can be made.

Out-of-town groomsmen can have their measurements taken at a formalwear store near them and forwarded on to the store where you have reserved your tuxedos.

Make sure that if the men are planning to get haircuts, they get them at least two weeks before the wedding day.
